inside exhibit hall
en route to convention ballroom
inside district conventionvoting on things took forever, mostly i think, because the rules on voting were made without ever thinking over 12 thousand people would participate. but still, lots of time was wasted on listening to candidates' promises and not enough on actually passing or dropping resolutions; like whether or not to continue with the caucus process, i.e. no, its impractical and not represenative of the popular vote. friday night, some districts did not finish voting until 3:30 in the morning.
in the MASSIVE exhibit hall there were rows of booths representing different organizations or with people selling things. that's where i found some badass feminist buttons. but one thing i realized was that out of the rows and rows of booths, and out of the multiple of political views and special interests espoused on all the different buttons people were selling, there was nothing about immigrant rights or anything from a person of color's point of view. not even L.U.L.A.C. was represented. weird. but these buttons are still badass.
