This man wants to help create a citizens committee to come up with ideas for driving out illegal immigrants from his town.Just another insular whacko, right? except he's THE MAYOR.
He's even made this his new town project.
Yes, the U.S. Immigration system need work. Yes, some immigrants don't have all the right papers (see previous sentence). But how does that make it ok to run a specific group of people out of town (and to turn it into a city gov. project?) And is it any coincidence that this group of people is brown, already marginalized, and has a different culture than this mayor and those who voted for him?
